Book Echoes Media’s mission is to help writers get their unique voices out into the world. I believe in interesting, powerful, diverse voices, and that their messages and stories can change the world for the better.

But getting an author’s voice from the mind to the page is an adventure, one that benefits from the guidance of those who’ve walked the path before. That’s where coaching or developmental editing can help.

Developmental Editing

This level of editing is appropriate for a full manuscript that needs some work on big picture issues (like plot, pacing, character development, etc.) before it is ready to move on to the later stages of editing. Developmental editing does not cover fixing grammar or other sentence-level issues, as those fixes happen at later stages in the process.

Review of a full manuscript

I'll go through your manuscript with a focus on the big picture issues (plot, character development, etc.) and provide feedback in the form of comments on the manuscript itself as well as an editorial letter.
Base price: $0.018 per word.
Manuscripts of 2000 words or fewer will have a flat fee of $30.
