Hi, folks.
Today I’ve got middle grade author Daniel Rowell on the podcast. We talk the special magic of the middle grade age and writing themes of forgiveness and science fiction and fantasy writing.
In terms of my update, right after I recorded my intro, we had to reschedule my author school visit for a couple weeks later, so I’ll give you all the lessons learned from that in the first episode in May rather than next episode.
Happy writing!
About D. P. Rowell
I once thought I could take over the world with rock n roll. In 2014, I left my hometown of Elgin, SC, to Austin, TX, to expand the empire via sick riffs and catchy hooks. In 2016, I started writing a novel I’d had an idea for when I was in high school. I knew I loved great stories my whole life (who doesn’t, right?). But it wasn’t until I started writing my first novel I realized I love telling stories. I’ve written many novels now, and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. In 2017, I was one of 25 students, selected from a pool of 5,000 applicants, to pioneer an educational revolution in San Francisco that specializes in Data Analytics & Business Intelligence. My journey to becoming an author has led me, by an odd series of interests, from coast to coast. So whenever I’m not writing, I’m either nerding out over data or writing songs. I still plan on taking over the world. Now I just have more avenues.
